Most of you are familiar with this form from a popular wrestling scorebook:
Match Summary for Each Wrestler
This form accumulates and summarizes scoring statistics for each wrestler for each season. On average, transferring scoring data to this form requires about 30 seconds per match. At season's end, totals for each wrestler are calculated and transferred to another form in this particular paper scorebook, the Season Totals Summary. On this form, team totals are calculated.
Let's say you have 25 wrestlers on your team and, on average, each wrestler competes in 24 matches each season for a total of 600 matches. At 30 seconds per match to transfer the scoring data, the total amount of time required to create a basic statistical understanding of your team is five hours. And, this happens one time -- at the end of the season. If you want a mid-season report of the same type, that would take a few hours to produce, too. Most teams don't do this -- it's just too much work, it's prone to error and can't be done often enough to be useful.
With Takedown, generating the same report, called Scoring Detail in the Reports section, for 600 matches requires 3-5 seconds. And, the Scoring Detail report can be produced at any time, covering any user-selectable group of wrestlers, dual meets, tournaments, seasons and competition level.
Here's an example:

So, what will you and your staff spend time doing this season, transcribing pencil marks from one piece of paper to another, or something else?
Turn five hours of mind-numbing drudgery into five seconds of "oh, wow!"
