We are working on a set of Riding Time reports and statistics for an upcoming release. More precisely, we are measuring time spent in the top and bottom positions. If you'd like to share your preferences for how we measure and report these stats, please click on this survey. It's brief and should take you less than a minute to complete.
Much of what we do with Takedown is prompted by user requests and our personal interactions with coaches and scorers. We consider every piece of user feedback, so if you're interested in this particular performance stat, please give us your input via the short survey.
Many thanks for your help and support.
We really appreciate any feedback, positive or otherwise, from users. Here's some feedback we've received along with our responses. You can add more feedback here.
Dual Meet Ends in Tie -- How to Record?
"...my team tied with another and it became a criteria victory for our opponents, but yet the [dual] is listed in our win column. Just was curious if you guys had any update on how to go about changing this?"
-- RobertH, Maryland
We are working on a permanent solution to this. In the meantime, in order to display a loss in the Schedule report, you can do the following. In Schedule, Show Matches for the dual in question, and delete the last match scored. Re-enter the dual (Event) and tap Match Scoring. Tap Penalty for your team and deduct a team point. Re-enter scoring for the last match.
Win/Loss Report Problem
"Can't get win/lose [report] to show up when I export them to email, suggestions?"
Yes, this is a bug found last week, where the attachment is missing on the Win/Loss report email and the report cannot be opened by another app (such as Adobe Reader). The bug will be fixed in the next release of Takedown. In the meantime, the work-around is to take a screen shot of the Win/Loss report as displayed in the app and to email the screenshot. If your squad size is such that the report runs beyond a single page, then you will need more than one screenshot.
Adding More than 14 Opponent Wrestlers in a Dual
"When entering dual competition we should be allowed to write in more than 14 names for the teams we will be wrestling. A lot of time teams will weigh in multiple wrestlers at many weights and we won't know who is wrestling until that weight class is up."
-- TyB, Oklahoma
For a dual meet, Takedown indeed allows you to enter in as many 'Them' wrestlers as you wish, as well as allowing as many 'Them' wrestlers to weigh in at the same weight class as needed. An aside: all 'Us' wrestlers that have a certified weight will be eligible to be weighed in.
When you tap the 'Them' Weigh In button in the Event view, you will see a button in the upper left of the weigh-in pop-up, located under Cancel, entitled Edit. If you tap Edit and swipe to the end of the 14 entry list you will see an Add a Wrestler button. If you tap this button a new blank weigh-in entry will appear. Do it again, and you'll get another one, and so on.
Two of us on the Takedown team are coaches, and what we like to do is to import our opponent's roster ahead of time. We have posted high school rosters on our web site. You will find them here.
Seeding Report Date is Incorrect
"All of my dates for the matches are the same when I run the seeding meeting report. Any suggestions? Thanks."
That's a bug. It will be fixed in the next release.
Need Search for Opponent Wrestler List
"I have about one or two thousand kids in my app now, and it gets hectic trying to find them when scoring an individual tournament. It seems to me I can only scroll through the names by team or alphabetical to find the opponent wrestler. Is there any way to search or jump straight to a certain letter? Thanks!"
-- BarryR, Georgia
Great idea. We'll include a Search capability in our next release. We also have over 2,000 opponent wrestlers in the app, so we appreciate the need for this feature.
Schools Missing in Roster Database
"Did you know that not all the rosters of the NC schools didn't make into you DB? For example, [our school] didn't as well as several other of our area schools. These were all in last years DB. Not sure if this is a NC specific issue or not."
-- RickD, North Carolina
Yes, the roster gathering process is imperfect and can result in missed schools.
a list of schools that are important to you and we'll go get them and post on our website.
