Plan Every Practice in Takedown

Practice Planner

Takedown has always tracked who came to practice and what they weighed. The Practice Planner, new in Takedown 4.0, plans the practice itself: timed sections and activities, built on the iPad and sent to your staff and wrestlers with one tap.

Build a plan

Open a practice in My Team > Practice and tap Add Plan. Enter the focus of the day, then build the practice out of sections.

  • Sections — Warm-up, Drilling, Live Wrestling, Top / Bottom, Neutral, Conditioning, Cool-down, or your own. Each has a duration.
  • Activities — pick from the catalog or create your own. New activities are saved to your team’s list for next time.
  • Timing — each activity has minutes, and the section and plan total up as you go. Drag activities to reorder them.

Minutes are the starting length; change them in any plan. Edit the list itself in Takedown Settings > Practice > Activities.

Attach video

Any activity can carry a web link: a YouTube technique video or a clip from your own channel. The link travels with the plan, so a wrestler can watch the penetration step before drilling it.

Share it

Tap Share for a PDF of the plan, or Email to send it to coaches and wrestlers by role. Wrestlers see the day’s plan before they walk in.

Reuse what works

Save as Template keeps a plan’s sections and activities for any future practice. Copy From Another Practice starts from a plan you’ve already run.

Step-by-step instructions are in the help center: The Practice Planner.
