Weight management
The preseason is when weight goals are set. Wrestlers certify a minimum weight, and the work of getting there begins. NFHS rules require every state to run a weight-control program built on a certified minimum weight and a monitored descent averaging no more than 1.5 percent of body weight a week. Takedown turns that rule into something a coach can check every day, for every wrestler.
None of this needs a subscription. Subscriptions cover scoring and video recording; every other feature in Takedown is free.
Start from the certification
Each wrestler’s certification date and weight, minimum weight class (MWC) and minimum wrestling weight (MWW) live on their Roster entry. If your Roster is hosted on Trackwrestling or USA Bracketing, the certified weights arrive with it and update on their own after certification, so there is nothing to type.

Follow the descent plan
Takedown builds each wrestler’s descent plan from the certification: 1.5 percent weight loss per week, from the certification weight down to the minimum wrestling weight and never below it. If a wrestler’s situation changes, restart the plan from a new weight and date.
- Start here: My Team > Roster, the wrestler, Edit, then enter a weight and date under Reset Descent Plan.
Weigh in at practice
Record an In and an Out weight at each practice, alongside attendance. Type the weights in, or have wrestlers step on a Befour PS-6615 scale with the Befour Bluetooth module and the weight fills in on its own, so the line moves faster and nobody mistypes a number. Official weigh-ins from dual meets and tournaments are recorded too.
- Start here: open a practice in My Team > Practice and tap Weigh In.

Catch a crash cut before it happens
The Weight Management report puts every weigh-in next to the plan. For each wrestler and each weigh-in day it shows the official weigh-in, the first and last weigh-in of the day, the descent-plan weight and the percent change since the last weigh-in. Any weight below the plan is flagged. View it as a table or a chart, and share it as a PDF with trainers and parents, so everyone is looking at the same numbers.
